A place of transformation...
Philip's Home is a transformational community empowering women to live free of exploitation. In a home-like environment in Sioux Falls, SD, Philip's Home provides shelter, resource assistance, life skills education, and a supportive environment to help residents achieve self-worth and self-sufficiency.
If you would like to volunteer, donate needed supplies or provide financial support, please contact Glenny Klumper at: firstname.lastname@example.org, or call (605) 212-8785
Our residents are women who are 18 years and older, and do not have children or are non-custodial parents. They have been broken by abuse and/or exploitation, and have little hope for a better life. Most of our residents suffer from addictions. Common issues are lack of education, poor health, spiritual emptiness, emotional and psychological disorders, eating disorders, dysfunctional family systems, homelessness, legal issues, sexual and financial brokenness.
We begin with the essentials of safe shelter, food, and clothing. Upon the foundation of intentionally and consistently demonstrating God's love, we join together in God's work of healing addictions and broken relationships. Though various resources are employed to help the women with their unique needs, the nurturing community is of most benefit.
PRAYER - Please pray for God's provision and protection for our ministry, and for God's redeeming work to transform the lives of the women we serve. Amen!
PROJECTS - If your church or civic group would like to help with a project, "this old house" we call Philip's Home requires on-going maintenance, updating, and improvements. Currently we need replacement windows with installation, indoor painting, retaining wall work, cistern fill-in, and a security camera for the front door.
FINANCIAL SUPPORT - We welcome churches, businesses, individuals, and service groups to help support our ministry. Make your check payable to "Philip's Home", and send to Philip's Home, PO Box 2016, Sioux Falls, SD, 57109-2016.
SUPPLIES - We are in constant need of personal care items, cleaning supplies, laundry supplies, bathroom tissue, gift cards (e.g., grocery, gas, and clothing stores), bus passes, towels/wash clothes, and pillows with bug covers. We also need new dining room chairs and two new bedroom chairs.
WE ALSO NEED A NEW OR GOOD USED MINIVAN!
Grateful for all assistance, please contact Glenny Klumper if you have questions or would like to discuss support options.
